This exhibition from the Museum of Art at Brigham Young University includes seventy-three American paintings from the university's collection. The paintings document many of the major movements and styles that dominated the art scene in this country from the late eighteenth century until the second world war. The virtual tour starts with Recording Faces and Places. To continue the tour, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on any one of the next six periods in American art history. The tour includes images and explanations of each painting's significance.
