From the Internet Public Library (IPL), this collection is primarily evaluative or explanatory writings about works of literature. There has been an attempt to collect only works of some merit. The Voice of the Shuttle (VoS) is probably the best single resource on the Internet for the humanities. This page covers general or multi-period/author criticism sites. Other criticism resources are categorized by periods: Anglo-Saxon & Medieval Criticism, Renaissance & 17th Criticism, Restoration & 18th Century Criticism, Romantics Criticism, Victorian Criticism, Modern Criticism (British & American), Contemporary Criticism (British & American), American Criticism, or go to English Literature by Period, click on the appropriate period, and check the entries under individual authors for criticism specific to their work.
