Specialized Biography

4000 Years of Women in Science
From the University of Alabama. The site is organized into: Introduction, Biographies, Photographs and References used to compile the information presented. Also available is a quiz, a crossword puzzle and links to other women in science resources. The twentieth century is not emphasized, as much of that information is available elsewhere.

AFRO-American Almanac: Biographies
Part of the larger AFRO-American Almanac, this portion has biographies on African Americans.

Biographies of Historical Women
From the University of Maryland. Very brief biographies on selected women in history.

Biographies of Women Mathematicians
An on-going project by students in mathematics classes at Agnes Scott College, in Atlanta, Georgia, to illustrate the numerous achievements of women in the field of mathematics. There are biographical essays or comments on most of the women mathematicians and some photos.
