COM Library The Library, located in the Learning
Resources Center, supports the academic & technical programs
of College of the Mainland. The Library is committed to providing
opportunities for individualized
learning and research. Community members are invited to use
the services and resources in the Library. More about the library:
Books
COM Library provides a book collection of over 50,000 print volumes
and over 34,000 eBooks. The library
has special book collections: Texana and Juvenile, as well as the Baker & Taylor
Collection of books of current interest. The COM
Library Catalog can be used to search for books. Access our Find

Periodicals
The periodical collection includes subscriptions to approximately 165
print titles and thousands of full text journals through more than
40 subscription databases.

Online Resources
The Online Library provides access to the Internet, as well as
our databases, which provide
access to thousands of full-text articles from journals and magazines,

The Library Classroom is used for the instruction of Information
Literacy, the ability to locate, evaluate, and use information
to become an independent life-long learner.

Remote Access
COM Library patrons can access all of the Library's online resources--databases and eBooks
from home or office. Remote access requires a computer with Internet

Minors in the Library
For their own protection and the good of our students, no one under the age of 16 can use the library computers. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or caretakers at all times while in the library. See our full policies on minors.
